Monday morning we packed up to head to the Hotel La Quinta and -- the clutch cable snapped on the BMW. We re-packed to carry most of our stuff on three bikes, called the tour operator to report the bike failure, and headed out on three bikes for the Hotel La Quinta.
We stopped at another roadside joint and had a fine lunch (another casado) for about $15 for the four of us.
When we got to the Hotel La Quinta, we had much of the afternoon left, so we spent several hours exploring the insect and archeological artifacts in the museum on the hotel grounds, then the butterfly habitat and finally the model plantation and gardens.
After dinner at the hotel, we retired early.
